WOW!...what an awesome show!!...I started to write a detailed review when we got home last night but when I discovered that my recorder didn't work, I went to sleep instead...however, we do know many folks who were able to record it and someone apparently even got a video of it!...way cool...so that good karma WILL be shared...ok...on to what you've been waiting to hear :)

We were all given roses when we walked in the venue as well as a small red flashlight with Wells Fargo Stevie Nicks and Friends Benefit Concert printed on it with the date...there were no t-shirts for sale!why?...they could have made a fortune...the band came out at approx. 8:20...Stevie's Dad introduced her...Stevie came out wearing a beautiful black dress and walked to the wrong microphone...and started to sing Outside the Rain...that mic was off...Sharon and Mindy pointed her to the right mic...Stevie smiled, shook her head and walked over to it...and came in on the second line or so...then came Dreams...she then welcomed us to the show...thanked us all for coming...talked briefly about heart disease...she mentioned that we would all benefit from this someday...and that she already was worried...then thanked and welcomed us again...then she sang Enchanted and Gold Dust Woman (of course, with the gold cape)... she mentioned that the greatest thing about tonight was the some of her really good friends came...she said...'you'll hear...I call it OUR album...we're done with our album now...Sheryl produced 6 or 7 songs...she's incredible, like she's so smart...my really good friend, Sheryl Crow...she came out and they hugged...

They sang Everyday is a Winding Road together...they sounded VERY good...Stevie's voice was in fine shape...she sounded REALLY good throughout the entire show and the sound system was great!...then Stevie went offstage and Sheryl sang My Favorite Mistake...then Stevie came back and and they did The Difficult Kind...what a beautiful version...Sheryl at one point, looked at Stevie and said, 'you have the greatest fans'...Stevie nodded her head and smiled and clapped for us...then here's when my disc cut off (?-sigh)...so the set list may not be exact...Dave and I wracked our brains this morning trying to remember...anyhoo...possibly next was Stand Back...about this time, I realized how much I had missed Waddy...he seriously rocked!...Dave says he gave it a good masculine quality that really complimented Carlos' playing...it's true...and well, Waddy is just so much a part of Stevie's solo sound for me...for this song, she wore her red cape...she did do a very high kick at the end...next I think was Leather and Lace...Stevie sang the first verse before Don Henley walked out to join her...it was really cool to hear 'our' song live :) ...then Stevie went offstage and Don did Boys of Summer...he may have done one other song but I don't remember, sorry...then came a pretty version of what turned out to be Rhiannon...I wasn't sure at first, though...it was very unusual...then Stevie introduced Chris ...

He came out in a loud red suit...they laughed and he teased Stevie and said he was going to tell the joke that she had told him...she was laughing and shaking her head at him...and saying, 'don't get dirty'...he said he would be good since her parents were there...then Stevie said that they were going to do a song that she had done with her grandfather...and they burst into At Last...wow...too cool...then Chris did Solitary Man...and A Bad, Bad, Thing...during the last one, Sheryl came out and dirty danced with him...and they tried to see if they could outsing each other...it was really unbelieveably incredible!...then Stevie came back...and said...ok, can I do this now?...from my heart of hearts, it gives me great pleasure to introduce...Lindsey Buckingham!...

The crowd went wild...he came out, hugged and kissed Stevie on the cheek then went to his mic...she walked over behind him, put her arms around him and he hung on to her hands for dear life...he then started talking...she rested her head on his shoulder...while he talked about how he and Stevie used to visit her parents here often way back when...and how it was great to be back here with her to do this...it was a very long speech...from the heart (oh, I wish I could remember it all)...and very intimite...this is one you just have to see...then he said he wanted to dedicate the next 2 songs to Stevie and he proceeded to blow us all away with Big Love and Go Insane...he is the guitar god!...then Stevie came back out and they did Landslide...ahh!...then Stevie said that Lindsey had suggested that they do a song that they'd never done onstage before...I think you could almost hear a collective gasp...then she said...well, never without the whole band...and they did Gypsy with just Lindsey, Waddy, and Carlos playing...it was beyond words...simply beautiful...lightening strikes, maybe once, maybe twice...something about Lindsey singing that with Stevie wailing...they hugged and kissed cheeks again and walked offstage together...

The applause was deafening...then came the drum solo...Land wasn't there and I've forgotten the drummer's name but he and Danny Reyes really jammed!...then came Edge of Seventeen...OMG!...this was probably the highlight (and there were so many)...Dave said there was magic during that song!...and there WAS magic...I can't even begin to describe it...she wore a white cape for this one...and after the show, we all were remarking about how incredible this version was...then after a very short break, they encored with I Need to Know and then the always touch your soul...Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You...and then everybody came out for the bows...

Lindsey and Sheryl walked off with their arms around each other (that Sheryl is one lucky woman/fan!) when it was over...all Dave and I could do was sit there and say, WOW!!!...over and over...the smiles and the looks on all the Stevie fan's faces was something else...we were treated to a once in a lifetime show...and we were not disappointed...worth every minute of that 32 hour drive from Virginia :) ...Stevie was having SUCH a good time...and her voice...pure heaven...and if this is what is in store for us on her next tour, you will all be doing what I did on the Enchanted tour and going to as many shows as you can get to...it was a night and a time to cherish and remember always...I can't wait to see the video!...and I'm jonesing for the audio...'there is magic...'...it will happen, I'm sure...I was honored, thrilled, and delighted to meet many wonderful and kind Ledgies (thank you yet again, Marty and Lis!)...and so many of you were mentioned with love and were with us in spirit...I don't think there are really words to describe this concert or the experience but I had to try...oh, and at one point, Stevie and all of us sang Happy Birthday to Brett...it apparently wasn't his birthday really but is was a fun time...he seemed to having such a good time as were we all...can't wait to hear his take on it all...hope other Ledgies can fill in the blanks for me...and hope you enjoyed...I know we certainly did...and thanks to Stevie for an awesome show...it really was just the best ever! :) ...later...
