July 17th, 2001 - Tweeter Center at The Waterfront, Camden, NJ

by Robyn (New Jersey)

Well, in the very beginning, the stage was dark, the band walked out, and over the loudspeakers came the chorus from the title track of Stevie's new album, "Trouble in Shangri-la". I love the way they just weave their voices into each others...it is so cool.

Right after that, the lights came on and they went right into "Stop Dragging My Heart Around".

Stevie mentioned after that song that Sheryl Crow was supposed to come but that she couldn't make it...that things would be a little different than planned. She said that they would do some old stuff along with some new stuff. And she did. They did songs from all the way back in the 70's up to and including six songs from the new album.

To give you guys an idea, she did songs like "Sorcerer", "Stand Back", "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" (which they added percussion to), and "Edge of Seventeen". She even did Tom Petty's "I Need to Know."

She was amped up and rocked the whole place. She got into it! The show was great, just maybe a little on the short side.
