The LegBoard Policy is based on what's commonly referred to as "netiquette", the operating standard for most message boards, lists, and newsgroups all over the world. These time-tested guidelines work, but only when we all agree to make them work. Our primary mission is to make The LegBoard a cool, decidedly quirky, comfortable home for all Fleetwood Mac fans.

Posting Guidelines:

  • We are here to discuss any and every member of Fleetwood Mac, the intricacies of their music, and their impact on our lives. Such is the purpose of this board. Off-topic threads are totally cool just please post them in our new Skies The Limit Forum which has been created specifically for open-ended non-Mac-related discussion.
  • The LegBoard was established so that fans like you could have a friendly forum to discuss the band, and the solo projects of its various members. Let's face it, we may all like Fleetwood Mac, but we are a diverse group with differing opinions and perspectives. Remember, people post comments that reflect their lifestyle and their "take" on things. Whether it's a school teacher from the States, a musician from Canada, a "domestic goddess" from Europe, or an electronica specialist from Japan, they are all fellow people and fellow Fleetwood Mac fans. Most importantly, they are all a part of the LegFamily. Please do not let opposing opinions bother you. Appreciate diversity and learn from it. We can disagree, but let's do so respectfully.
  • We appreciate and encourage heated debate, but having things "get personal" is just not cool. Please stick to the topic, make your point, even defend your point vigorously, but then leave it at that.

  • We are not looking to "moderate" this board...we simply want to administrate it. However, we must reserve the right to close threads and possibly even delete posts that are deemed to serve no other purpose than to antagonize or defame a fellow Leggie.

  • We also retain the right to remove double or extraneous posts and posts that constitute an invasion of privacy. Although it's highly unlikely to happen, we will ban posters that don't play by the rules.

    Courtesies:
  • We would appreciate it if you would not copy people's posts from other boards onto our board -- or copy our boards posts onto other boards. An appropriately credited news story is totally cool, but we see quoting another poster's thoughts, feelings, or ideas without their permission as being a violation of their privacy.

  • We ask that you enable your LegBoard ez-Inbox to contact LegStaff or your fellow Leggies rather than posting "pings" to people who may or may not be reading The LegBoard. User-to-User Messaging on The LegBoard is completely confidential in that your "real" email address is completely blocked from view...even from us. We ask that everyone enable this messaging feature, as follows, if you have not yet already done so:

    Go to 'The LegBoard', go to 'control center', go to 'account preferences', scroll down to the Privacy & Security area. Check off the boxes that read 'enable ez-inbox' and 'accept admin emails'. Then click 'save changes' at the bottom of the page. Thanks for cooperating.

  • Please do not type subject titles of threads in all caps. Thank you.
