Peter Green Splinter Group at Saint-Laurent-du-Var Blues Festival 2000

(by Pepito - source : Official site)

For the last evening of this very successful Blues Festival, the guitarist, singer [fondator of the legendary band Fleetwood Mac] Peter Green has opened the night.

He started by exposing a blues with his voice broken by the time, so accurate for this kind of music. Cheerfull, his foot beating the rhythm along with the percuting musicians. He followed with a standard, "Black Magic Woman"... back to the 70's, the "hippie" blues, cool... An acoustic song in tribute to the giant of blues, Robert Johnson, with "Sweet Home Chicago"...

The final result: great "ancient" english musicians, who have pleased their audience with a music that is not outdated, like a good wine kept in a wood barrel... to listen to without moderation, enjoy!
