It was the most awesome experience of my life!!! I am from Buffalo, NY. It took me 6 hours to get there because I got into an accident with a semi truck!! The jerk smashed into my car during a traffic jam!! So that delayed us a bit...but I wasn't going to let anything stop me from getting to my first Stevie show!! We just got there when they were doing a sound check. I can only remember the beginning set list in order. After they were all done setting up the equipment, the lights went out and my heart stopped for like a minute!! Everyone was screaming and then you hear Stevie, Sharon, Mindy, (No Lori) and I don't know if Sheryl was up there right away or not...but anyway you can hear them all harmonizing the beginning to "TISL"...then the lights come on and I see Stevie up there. It was sooo awesome. Words can't even explain the excitement I felt!!!! The stage was awesome. It changed colors for like every song. For this one I think I remember it being pink. There was a big pillar with a huge potted plant. The background was just like the "TISL" CD.
After that song, she did "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around"...that was so cool. It was just like the "Stevie Nicks in Concert" tape that I have watched like a billion times!!! Waddy was singin' right along with her. Then they grooved right into "Dreams"...after that my memory is a little cloudy as to the set list. I was so psyched. I am surprised I didn't explode!!! I was dancing and screaming...it was sooo cool.
Anyone who does not consider this woman The Queen of Rock must have never seen her perform live. This was the best concert I have ever been to!!! Well I remember the rest of the songs...they were "Gold Dust Woman", "Sorcerer", "Rhiannon" (by the way, Rhiannon has like a whole new beginning)...it still has the beautiful piano intro...but it sounds different. It was great. She rocked this song. It's just like the Rosebud footage I have seen. It was incredibly amazing!!! "Bombay Sapphires" (The lighting was like green...like aquamarine), "Every Day". "Too Far From Texas" (with Sheryl Crow)...Sheryl Crow sang some of her songs too. I remember her doing "Everyday is a Winding Road with Stevie, Now on"Edge of Seventeen", it was like a whole bongo intro. Then Waddy started to really rock out on his guitar. I mean there was so much energy...everyone really screamed when they knew it was EOS. It was insane how much energy I felt. It was like everyone went crazy for a few moments...(well at least where I was sittin'!). She added some words at the end also. I never heard her sing this song this way...it was again, amazing!!!!
If I remember correctly, she left the stage after saying thank you...and everyone was screaming. I think some people thought she was done..that it was over. But then she came out once again and performed "I Need To Know"...and then sang "Has Anyone Ever Written". Then she went and shook everyone's hand. When she got to the far right of the stage, it looked like some of the fans tried to pull her into the rows...because I saw her go down a little bit, and then some people went and grabbed her back up...then she tucked her hair behind her ears and said thank you...and sadly it was over....(it was a moment I never wanted to end).
She was sooo rockin'...she danced, she danced, and twirled a lot. It was like she was 20. Somewhere during the show, she introduced the band. And I even remember her thanking the crowd and saying she was grateful we were all so psyched because she was scared to perform these songs for us. I can't believe she would be scared. They are all so great. When she introduced the guitarist she was like "and her is the very sexy Al Ortiz"...it was great!! All I can say is this show was the best moment in my life.
When we first go there you could hear them warming up and I was hanging out of the car. My legs started shaking because this was my dream coming true. I was really going to see Stevie!! I heard her snging and that's when it hit me that I wasn't dreaming!! I went with my sister and my best friend...and they were pretty psyched too...although I don't thinked they screamed as much as I did because they still have a voice today, I don't!!! lol
Oh, before I forget, I don't know how strict other places are, but there were a lot of people taking pictures...out in the open too. I saw security guards look right at people and didn't say a word. I was so mad because I left my camera in the car. They said we weren't allowed to bring them in. After I got through the gate., some lady told me I should go back out to my car and grab mine and hide it. When I tried, they told me that if I left, I couldn't come back in...which totally sucked. But I am sure people will be posting pictures on the web soon. It was great though. They're were tons of fans partying in the parking lot having cook-outs. It was great. Oh, one more thing before I go..when we were first sitting in out seats, everyone around us seemed so conservative and relaxed. But as soon as she came out, it was insane. Is this great or what" And I was like "hell yeah!!!!" The lady in the front of me seemed so quiet and like after Stevie came out and was rocking, this lady turned around to me and was like "yeah woo hoo!!!!" slapping me five like 8 times in a row. It was great!! It was like all of this energy was all around us and totally transformed everyone. It was pure magic. Stevie totally kicked ass. You guys have so much to look forward to. Dreams do come true. Stevie was everything I expected and more!!!!
I am sorry I couldn't remember in more detail. It seems like I dreamed the whole experience...but it really happened. And no, I didn't have a drink or drug in my body to make the experience cloudy...lol!!! Just thought I would add that because there were a lot of drunk people there. I don't know how half of them drove home!!! There was even a fight in the parking lot between two drunk teens...one of them fell on my car. It was insane!!! The security guards showed up pretty quick through!! Oh, by the way, they had t-shirts for $35 and $32. A sweat-shirt for $65. A hat for $25, buttons, and key chains for $10..

I saw Stevie's first concert. If you have a chance to go, you had better jump on it. All I can say that this is the best concert I have ever seen. I say that, not only because of the great performance that Stevie gave, but also the incredible stage setting and lighting display. Beautiful is not saying enough. Whoever was in charge of the lighting should have received an ovation.
The only disappointment on the night was that she did not sing "Landslide" and that it did not last longer. She only gets better as time goes by. Stevie...come back to Burgettstown, PA!
