It was a fantastic show and Stevie in particular was on fire!
They played the best version of Silver Springs I've heard, Stevie was really getting into it at the end, screaming the final lyrics. The most emotional rendition I've heard in a long time, with real daggers from Stevie. The first time I believed it wasn't all faked!
And Beautiful Child was extremely moving, she appeared to be near to tears as the song drew to a close, as was I!
Dreams too almost brought about some tears. Seeing as I thought I was sick to death of that song, the performance was THAT good, to make me change my mind and realise why I loved it in the first place.
For those who care, Stevie even wore her cream platform boots for Gypsy and did an amazing spin for Stand Back. She was very energetic tonight!
Lindsey was in a jovial mood, laughing and playing about. He wasn't playing as well though. I felt he was going through the motions even more than usual. Maybe Christine being there threw him off....
His kids Leelee and Will were sitting on the side of the stage watching their daddy for half the show, it was so cute!
Lindsey danced, waved and smiled at them throughout and even walked over and gave Leelee a kiss on the head at one point.
No Christine, but nevertheless it was yet another great show from a great band!

Mactastic, tonight’s brilliant performance at London’s Earls Court Arena, was another great sell out show by Fleetwood Mac. The burning question, will she won’t she !!! No unfortunately she did not sing. Christine McVie was in the audience this evening and was mentioned several times by Mick and Stevie.
Mick announced ‘There’s a very special young Lady back there in the audience tonight ladies and gentleman Christine McVie’ to which the entire audience gave a huge cheer and a standing ovation. The atmosphere was electric and fans were stamping and cheering.
The running order was as the normal UK Tour, which featured Lindsey’s acoustic version of ‘Big Love’ which was brilliant. Speaking of Mr Buckingham, who else noticed a few broken guitar strings during ‘Come’ and then again during Tusk, but there again he does enjoy pulling out the lead and throwing his guitar during Tusk before his energetic jig!! Broken strings or not, LB never missed a note.
The entire floor was standing from the very start of ‘The Chain’ to the very end of ‘Say Goodbye’ which is probably why that little 7 year old girl was sitting on the side of the stage enjoying a fantastic view, I assume she was the daughter of a fan, possibly employed as the official guitar catcher for Lindsey. If that little girl had gotten her camera she would be a Millionaire. Who was that little girl?
Stevie went on to dedicate ‘Beautiful Child’ to her father Jessie who has been on the entire 9 month tour throughout, he too got a standing ovation. On the second encore Mick again mentioned Christine McVie but not before saying “We have come a long way and now us four set off in to the Sunset alone” well that was a clear comment !!
But then he thanked and acknowledged Christine and Mick said his “Mum, Sister and Wife and well in fact about 150 of my family are here tonight back there”
Such a great performance sadly came to an end, Mick said it was their last date in the UK tour and “We are taking a break now until after Christmas when we will be going to Australia”
Last time I missed out on the special sampler tour CD. This time I was quicker off the mark like Road Runner. I slipped out after the first encore, scampered to the front doors and grabbed my freebie disc. Okay I already have the double ‘Say you will’ CD but the sampler does refer to the tour inside the label. They only give 7,000 out per night, 10 days ago we stayed in AA block not realising that we would not get a CD…….so I grabbed 2 tonight to make up for it !!
Finally, I met a Roadie in the toilet, the usual banter went on and when I returned to my seat Stefanie, my girlfriend said “oh did you take a photograph of him”? Yeah right, can you imagine being in a men’s washroom asking another guy if you can take a photograph of him!!!!!!!!! Yeah Right on, no photograph of a roadie folks……..
Thanks FM from the UK
