On Tuesday, May 5, the Scott Trade Center in St. Louis was blessed by the presence of the legendary group Fleetwood Mac.  Despite the absence of singer/songwriter Christine McVie, the Mac worked together seamlessly to put on a terrific show.

The twenty-three song set began with Monday Morning, ended with Silver Springs, and highlighted some of the super-group's best songs from the past four decades.

Fleetwood Mac is known not only for their timeless music, but also for the tumultuous personal history that connects its members.  The quiet confidence of bassist John McVie is a striking contrast to the manic energy that is drummer and group founder Mick Fleetwood.  A constant draw for the group is front woman singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks.  Her mystic appeal has enchanted fans for decades.  However, the real star of Tuesday's performance was powerhouse Lindsey Buckingham on lead guitar and vocals.  His driving force and immeasurable musical talent thrilled the audience, particularly those fortunate enough to be on the front row and experiencing firsthand the connection he makes with his fans.

According to the song Landslide, "time makes you bolder" and this certainly proved true in St. Louis.  Age and experience have not hindered Fleetwood Mac's ability to put on a hard-hitting celebration of their music.  Thanks to the band for a great evening!

This was my third time seeing a Fleetwood Mac concert in St. Louis and I have to say it was awesome. The only problem I had with the concert was the fans. I realize I am one of the younger fans being as I am only 30 years old, but come on people, who goes to any kind of a rock concert and just sits there like they are watching TV?! I even received a tongue lashing in the restroom from a complete stranger telling me how rude it is to stand up and dance during a event like this. It was much the same at the Say You Will concert in St. Louis, the fans just sit there with no emotion, after a song they clap. I took a 50 year old woman with me and she had never seen them in concert we were so excited and couldn't sit still, we ended up moving to an aisle where there was groups of people dancing and having a great time. When I seen them on their Dance tour there wasn't a single person sitting through the entire show, where are those fans? If I ever get to see The Mac in concert again, which Lindsey said they didn't have any new material YET but they were working on it so heres hoping, I will only purchase the floor seats that seems to be the only place you can get the full experience. This band looked great, they seemed refreshed and Stevie looked especially beautiful. Lindsey rocked it in true form, I am convinced he may be the best guitar player in the world. John never uttered a word but was great as always and Mick what can I say he is awesome. I can only hope I have that much energy and spunk at that age. Big thanks to Fleetwood Mac for rocking my world yet again!
